Peggy’s Mom’s Chili Sauce Recipe

Ingredients:

12 qt of fresh tomatoes; chopped
12 pcs of onions (good size); chopped
2 pcs of peppers (sweet); chopped
3 pcs of peppers (hot); chopped
1 pc of celery stalk (fresh); chopped
3 lbs of sugar (refined)
5 Tbsps of salt
1 tsp of mustard
1/8 tsp of wine vinegar (white)
1/2 c of whole spice (pickling, bagged in a cheesecloth)

Instructions:

Place tomatoes, onions, peppers, celery, sugar, salt, mustard, vinegar, and spice inside large (pickling) pot. Let it boil, about three hrs or more until you achieve the desired thickness.
