Chili Sauce Recipe


13 lbs of tomatoes; scalded and peeled
1 Tbsp of mustard (dry)
1 lb of celery (fresh)
2 pcs of cinnamon sticks
4 c of onions (small); chopped
2 lbs of sugar (brown)
3 pcs of peppers (green)
1/4 c of salt
1/2 Tbsp of cloves (ground)
4 c of vinegar (cider)


Cook the tomatoes for 15 mins. Drain half of its juice and chop the tomatoes. Return to the saucepan, add vinegar, sugar, and salt and simmer for 90 mins.

Tie the spices inside a cheesecloth; add to the mixture. Cook for another 90 mins.

Discard the bag with spices. Pour the mixture inside an airtight container.
